About

Hello all, my name is Marty Horning and I'm from Milwaukee, Wi. I am a proud former steelworker, fruit packer, truck driver, machine operator and, finally, a teacher. I've taught in alternative schools, community centers, public high schools, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I've been an active member of my unions and a variety of progressive organizations, including the Wisconsin Labor History Society. I am a proud dad and grandpa. I have a passion for labor history and I like to yak, hence, my new radio show, "Labor's Untold Stories". Prior to the Covid shutdown, I had a radio show called "Radio Revolution", also on our community station, Riverwest Radio- WXRW. Last June, I visited the graves of Sid Hatfield, John Brown, and Frederick Douglas- how's that for a vacation?
