American Labor Museum (AKA the Pietro and Maria Botto House)

During the 1913 Paterson Silk Strike, Italian immigrants Pietro and Maria Botto opened their home to the movement, inviting union leaders to speak from their front balcony. From here, thousands of striking silk workers rallied for decent working conditions, an end to child labor, and the eight-hour day. (National Historic Landmark)
