Italian-American Stonecutters Monument

Italian immigrants came to Barre in the late 1890s and early 1900s to work as stonecutters. The monument is dedicated to Carlo Abate, founder of the Barre Evening Drawing School where working people could learn the arts of vocational memorial design.
